I have a single, uncomplicated rule that I live by: never date professional baseball players. No exceptions, no loopholes. It’s a strict guideline that I’ve set for myself, and I intend to stick to it.

He is the epitome of a baseball player, the one who could make even the most steadfast woman falter. The moment I laid eyes on him, I should have marked him with a big red X, signaling that he was off-limits. But here’s the kicker: the night we met, the night we shared a kiss (oops), I had no idea he was my brother’s newest teammate. Imagine my shock when I realized that the sexiest man in Manhattan was now firmly in the “do not touch” zone. Just my luck!

Let it be known that I had every intention of following my rule and keeping my distance from Grant. When he flashed that irresistible smile, showcasing his charming dimples, I stood my ground. When he made it abundantly clear that he wanted to pick up where we left off that night, I firmly said, “Hold it right there, partner.” And when he started sending me all sorts of naughty messages on Instagram, well, let’s just say I logged out of that app so fast that I nearly shattered my iPhone screen.

Baseball players are trouble, through and through.So, tell me, why does the idea of giving in to Grant, even just for one night, and experiencing a taste of what could be, suddenly feel not only tempting but almost necessary? It defies all logic, all reason. Yet, there’s an undeniable pull, a magnetic force drawing me closer to him.

Yeah, about that one simple rule… haven’t you heard? Rules are made to be broken.

In the end, perhaps it’s time for me to reevaluate my steadfast resolve. Maybe, just maybe, it’s worth taking a risk, stepping outside my comfort zone, and exploring the possibilities that lie beyond my self-imposed boundaries. Because sometimes, the best things in life come from unexpected places, even if they come wrapped in a package that I’ve always sworn off.

So, here I am, standing at the crossroads, teetering on the edge of breaking the rule that has governed my love life for so long. Grant Navarro has proven to be an irresistible force, tempting me to dive headfirst into uncharted territory.

Will I succumb to the allure of a forbidden romance, or will I remain steadfast in my convictions?

Only time will tell.
