For Dallas, the question he asked is simple. He’s an open-minded guy, after all, so why wouldn’t it be fine for him to play house with the kind and objectively good looking pilot he met on his flight home?
For Dallas’s friends, his eagerness to say yes might be confirming something they’ve suspected about him for a long while now.
For Kylen, the pilot, it means getting his family off his back and getting a break from them trying to help him find a “nice girl” to settle down with. It helps that Dallas is also hotter than the sun, and kinder than any man he’s ever met before. Kylen can fake it—even if his tender heart might want something he knows isn’t for him.
The only real complication is the fact that Dallas is his daughter’s kindergarten teacher. Oh, and that he’s also a single dad. And whenever he and Dallas fake kiss, Kylen can’t help but notice that it feels very, very real. He doesn’t want to get his hopes up, but when Dallas touches him the way he does—when he looks into Kylen’s eyes like there’s no other man in the world besides him—he can’t help but let himself fall just a little bit more.
All he can hope for now is that when he lands, Dallas will be there with his arms wide open.
